-
Complete Your Syllabus (Fast and Focused)
- Choose any good YouTube channel (preferably JEE Advanced level).
- Focus on important chapters for IAT first (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Math).
- PCB or PCM students – cover your strengths first, then move to weaker areas.
-
Practice Questions After Each Lecture
- Solve questions from JEE, Advanced, or IAT modules after finishing each lecture.
- Try to solve without looking at the answer.
- If stuck, check step-wise solutions and retry the questions.
-
Solve PYQs (Chapter-wise)
- After covering each chapter, solve past year questions (PYQs).
- Focus on patterns and frequently asked topics.
-
Take Mock Tests Regularly
- Once chapters are done, give mock tests.
- Analyze your performance after each test.
-
Attempt Live Test Series
- Join live tests to get a feel of real-time exams.
- Identify strong and weak areas.
- Revise weak portions regularly.
-
Read NCERT Thoroughly
- After lectures, start reading NCERT, especially for Biology and Chemistry.
- Go line by line and take notes.
-
Solve Daily Questions
- Don’t rely only on lectures.
- Solve more questions daily to sharpen problem-solving skills.
-
Make a To-Do List
- Plan your day every morning.
- Finish tasks before bedtime. Stay consistent.
-
Finish Syllabus Early
- Aim to complete the syllabus quickly.
- Leave ample time for revision and tests.
-
Take IAT Seriously (Not as Backup)
- Treat IAT as your primary goal.
- JEE or NEET prep will automatically improve alongside IAT prep.
- Focus directly on IAT for the best results.
Bonus Tips
- Before starting any chapter, overview PYQs related to it.
- Mark frequently asked topics and focus on them during lectures.
- Don’t worry about competition – follow this plan and succeed.
Stick to this plan for 3-4 months – IISER will be within your reach, whether you are a dropper or fresher!
